This conversion reliably turns your Sig P365 15 round magazine into a 17 round magazine specifically tailored for the X and XL models.  The spring, follower, and base are replaced with MagGuts™ components while the magazine housing is reused. There is also a sleeve provided that matches the X/XL grip module perfectly. After installation, the sleeve is fixed onto the magazine housing and does not move. The converted magazine works in all versions of the P365 (standard, X/XL, and Macro) but mag sleeve included was designed for X/XL version. When used with the standard (not X or XL) P365 model there will be a gap between the mag sleeve and the grip. If used in a Macro, the sleeve is not used and there will be a gap between the base and the grip.

    To be honest, I have not yet installed / tested this… But I have full faith, as I have the 10 (to 12) and 12 (to 14) magguts installed in my P365/P365XL mags. Hence, I have no doubts about this 15 (to 17) version.

    Only down side is the damn price of Sig magazines, plus this, turns into $80+ each mag lol.

    This kit is somewhat more difficult to install than the 12+2 kit. The spring seems stiffer, which plays a role in the difficulty when trying to “accordion” the spring into the Magazine. Haven’t had a range session yet to test functionality.
    Other than that seems like a great addition of 2 rounds for virtually no added footprint to your mag. The baseplate design is also nice with 2 ledges on the side to be able to effectively feel and grab mag on mag changes.

    A little tough to install, but that’s just because the springs are so high grade. The first couple times you load the mags will be difficult, use a mag loader. They function flawlessly, and add two rounds as advertised. You’re an idiot if you don’t buy these kits.

    Good product, terrible timing. I’ve inquired and waited on this for over a year and you waited to release them after Sig already made them obsolete with 17rd mags of the same dimensions. You should be releasing +2 for the new 17rd mags, not these. It could understand if it was a niche gun, but it’s the most popular carry gun on the market. Yall are really missing out on the $$$.

    I’ve used the plus 2 on my 12rd mags for over a year without any issue so I expect the same from these. I’ll be taking them out to test this week. The one downside to these guts is the spring is VERY tight starting out so its somewhat troublesome installing them. That said once completely installed, with a loader, the rounds go in and no rattle is noticeable. Which has been an issue with stock SIG mags. All in all I’m happy so far with these guts.

    I have several mag extensions. Unfortunately, I was unable to install the P365 kits as easily as the others and had to send it to MagGuts to have them do the work. I’m sure once completed, it’ll work as designed.

    I have used many different Magguts products over the years . The conversion units works great once installed. The first installation is a little tough, but once the new spring has been installed and used, it’s no so hard to reinstall after cleaning. A vise or a third hand helps!

    Amazing product! Just like the other two kits magguts makes for the Sig p365 this works flawlessly with no Fail to feed, eject or any other malfunctions. This like the other two only adds a ever slight addition in bottom length of base pad which is not noticeable if you’re not looking for that.

    I’ve put magguts in several sig p365 10 rd and 12 rd mags, and I must say the 15 rd mag was not easy. I almost gave up. The spring leafs can flip on end inside the housing. When that happens, the spring assembly gets out of shape and has to be straightened out before trying again. Finally went real slow and kept adjusting the pressure will compressing the spring to keep it straight. Loaded with 17 rds, no issues. Haven’t been to the range yet, but my other mags with magguts work flawless. Expect the same.

    I felt it was irresponsible of me to consider spending $850 + for the P365 Macro just to have 17 rounds. I don’t care for compensates. My P365 XL shoots just fine. So for $33 I can have MagGuts which accomplished the 17 round wish!! Great job guys.

    After getting the 12+2 conversion and it working flawlessly, I ordered the 15+2 as soon as they were available. I haven’t taken to the range, but expect them to work the same (otherwise I wouldn’t have ordered). Followed the installation instructions and these now allow the stock P365 mags to hold 17. 17 + 1 for my P365X is pretty amazing for such a small pistol.

    I wasn’t really expecting any problems with this product since I already have a few of their magazine upgrades . I had a bit of an issue with installation of 17 rd flat spring on first attempt, but emailed Magguts and received a really quick response. They emailed me link to installation video that was helpful. I installed it in about 5 minutes on second attempt. Just fired 200 rounds with 4 different kinds of ammo without one single issue . Will definitely purchase a few more !

    The MagGuts +2 conversion for the P365XL 12 round magazine, does in fact allow two additional rounds in each magazine. The conversion is more difficult than it would seem…the follower has an attached spring that seems to be more of a guide for the folded MagGuts spring. The attached point of the “guide” results in a bump that is prone to catching the top fold of the main spring. This catch point is mentioned as a precaution in the assembly instructions. If the folded spring end catches the bump, things don’t work as they should. It would seem that bump could be trimmed so as to not catch the top fold, or the leading edge of the top fold could be chamfered or rounded to prevent catching.

    Does what it says. The physical act of installing the new guts to the 15-round Sig P365X magazine is fairly difficult though and should be done very carefully to avoid hand injury.

    This is the best way to get a 17-round capacity for your P365XL. Shortly after I installed these, I got ahold of a Sig 17-round magazine for the P365XL Macro. Even though the Sig magazine comes with adapters to allow its use with the P365XL, there really is no comparison as far as fit and utility. The MagGuts +2 kit is hands-down better. Incidentally, I have the MagGuts +2 kits for both the 10-round magazines for the P365 and the 12-round magazines for the P365XL. Both of those work perfectly, which is why I purchased the +2 kit to turn the Sig 15-round magazine into a 17-round magazine. If they had the ability to upload a photo, I would show you the difference between the two 17-round options.

    Was a bit to get the spring in the magazine on this one for it was easy on the 12+ 2 version. But did find a way to get it done. The warning of the edges being sharp are correct but even with that I found these to be excellent and function without any bit of issue. I highly recommend them for the Sig 365XL pistol and plan on getting some more as some as I can find the magazines!

    Works perfectly fine, 1 thing I think they got rite is the fact that the base plate and the grip extension lock into each other, they are 2 separate pieces. This way the grip extension doesn’t slide everywhere and you don’t need 2 different base pads like sig made us use.

    The end result is fantastic, I love having the product installed. Reason it is 4 of 5 and not 5: installation is the absolute worst process. Extremely difficult to get these sobs in the mag correctly. I did two mags and it took me ~90 minutes total. Overall great product that you should buy, just be ready for a tough install.

    I’ve purchased magguts +2s for my P365 10rnd, 12rnd and 15rnd mags, as well as my S&W Shield Plus 10rnd and 13rnd mags. They all have worked flawlessly through hundreds of rounds, except the 15 rnd mags I have not had a chance to shoot yet. One gripe and one suggestion…the gripe: the +2 for the P365 15rnd mag should also come with a sleeve for the standard P365, not just the XL.
    The suggestion: make a +2 (or 3!) for the 17rnd P365 XMacro mag. A 20rnd XMacro would be AWESOME!

    Can no longer purchase mags over 10 rounds here under the rule of our Manevolent King Inslee and Sideshow Bob, so getting the new Sig 17 rounders are (legally speaking) out of the question. However as my current 15 round mags are grandfathered in, I can just mod them for the extra 2.

    Seriously though, I have now purchased 6 total +2 kits from magguts, 2×10+2, 2×12+2, and 2×15+2, haven’t had any issues with a single one and use them in my EDC.

    The spring was extremely difficult to get into the mag, would bend and have to be reshaped and almost cut my hands several times.

    I’m disappointed there is no adapter sleeve for the 10 round grip. I knew the sleeve only came for the 12 round grip when I purchased the item. I have the 10-12 round and 12-14 round guts and am thrilled with them.

    Haven’t tried them at the range yet but hand cycled both of them and they fed fine. Took a couple of tries to get them installed correctly but I was successful. Do wish they had a floorplate that matched up with the standard P365 without leaving the gap but they are my reloads, not my carry in the pistol.

    picked this up after upgrading my 12rd magazines. not impressed. i bought 3 and could only get one on that looks damaged now because of how long it took. feels negligent that they don’t advise to wear gloves when installing this thing because it turns your magazine into spring-loaded razor blades. sliced open both hands.

    Short version: if it’s not working you installed them wrong. They are very reliable and work very well with Tactical Development base plates (the ones for mag guts), Wilson Combat grips, and the Katana mag well. The 12 plus two needs worked on to fit with the accessories but the 15 plus two is ready to go.

    This is my 5th mag guts and every one is awesome! I always have to read the instructions to get things installed right but it really is so simple to install. I am always putting the lip off the bottom of the spring in funny so it’s worth the 10 seconds to read and follow the instructions. I use the Tactical Development pro ledge base plates (for mag guts) on my 14 round magazines (12 with plus two) and they really provide a more refined finish to the magazine. The cost adds up and we are looking at a 100 dollar magazine now but for me and my thought processes are that it’s worth those extra two rounds.

    I installed the Katana mag well on my Wilson Combat grip and had to Dremel of some of the edges from my Tactical Development base plate so they would fit. The mag guts base plates fit right in with the Katana. The 15 plus two we perfect but the 12 plus two kinda got buried in that mag well: that’s why I altered my Tactical Development ones.

    I purchased a few 12+2 mag kits a few years back and they’ve been reliable. Quality is good and loading is easier especially loading the last round into the magazine. Hopefully we see a mag spring kit for the x-macro in the future.
