    I have been waiting for the Magguts Kahr 9mm 7 round conversion for quite some time. Boy was the wait worth it! Installation was easy especially with Kahr’s video. I have run over three hundred rounds through two converted magazines without a single hitch. Feeding is positive and the empty magazine slide hold open works every time. I am completely satisfied!

    Works great. Function perfectly. For my purpose, a micro nine in my pocket with 7 plus 1 is much better than the “larger” so called pocket pistols with 10-11 round mags. The extra 7-8 mag rides in my weak pocket. Thank you Magguts.

    Only problem is installation. End of flat spring is sharp and difficult to hold under the floor plate. Kept wanting to slip from under the plate while sliding on the end cap. But after several tries, got it installed. 6-7 spring was a little easier than the 7-8 spring. Be persistent. The new springs are worth the trouble.

    Not sure how to fix the problem. Polishing the end of the spring would make it much easier on the thumb, but would also make the spring slicker to slip from under the keeper plate. I almost filed a small groove in the keeper plate to help hold the spring in place during installation but was afraid that the groove might prevent the spring from seating and functioning properly.

    Extremely difficult to assemble for an inexperienced person. Works perfect after installation. 200 rounds through without any issues.

    Difficulty assembly until customer service sent a work around in response to complaint. Had to have been a known problem. Why not proactively revise videos, send out emails etc? After installation works fine but initial problem means I won’t buy a new product until some time has passed after introduction.

    Initially very hard to install. The lower spring would turn on itself. Your customer service had several suggestions how to get them installed and offered three other option. I understand the product was modified to make installation easier. You should only send out the new version and can the old version.

    MagGuts +1 9mm for Kahr 7rd Factory Magazine works flawlessly after multiple range visits. This product performs as expected and adds one round capacity on standard magazines. Installation was somewhat challenging for me the first time, however, I figured it out and am currently ordering multiple additional sets to cover all my magazines for all my 9mm Kahrs. I wish they made solutions for the TP9 and 45 caliber models as well. This is a much better solution than an extended magazine which has tended to be less reliable for me.

    You device works well. Two slight complaints:1) I could not install it, but someone who answers your e-mail offered to do it for me , at no extra charge, after I inquired about returning them both for a refund. I sent the MagGuts back along with my magazines and they came back installed. 2) It is very difficult to squeeze in the 8th round, but the magazine functions flawlessly. I shot around 100 rounds through the 2 magazines today with no problems at all.

    These products would be great but I am having two issues. One is that some of the mag followers fail to engage the slide lock open feature after the last round is fired. Additionally, the first round is hard to feed into battery. I hope it is just a little tuning that needs to happen, but I am certain that MagGuts will work on the issue and resolve it soon. They do a fantastic job of meeting customers needs.

    Had to tweak the follower a bit by bending the slide stop pad arm up in order to achieve slide lock on empty mag in my older PM9. Other than that, 100% reliable 200 rounds in.

    Bought two of the 7 to 8 round kits for my P9. Installation was not difficult. I put 30 rounds through each mag and both functioned perfectly. Thirty rounds isn’t exactly a torture test but it’s a good start.

    This was a great way to increase capacity without affecting grip height on my Kahr K9. Getting the bottom leaf spring compressed while installing the mag plate is tricky because the leaf is strong and slick, but the 2nd mag was easier than the first. Both mags function perfectly with the Magguts springs. Highly recommend.

    Little tricky to install. Must make sure springs are all properly aligned. Once they are in, good to go. Feel stronger than the factory spring. Having the +1 makes this carry piece even better.

    It worked as advertised, but I didn’t like how hard it was to put the new spring in. It also sticks in the mag well a bit. Watched all the YouTube videos and still had a hard time with the switch. Also don’t like that I scored the spring a lot getting it over the lip of the follower; feel it may now be prone to fail. Feeds the 8 rounds flawlessly, so happy with that. Will continue to test/use it for now, but may change it back because it doesn’t feel very robust.

    Best upgrade you can do to a single stack magazine just like my 6 round mag. Easy to install and I have over a hundred rounds in this mag. for my Kahr CM9
    I have used hollow point and FMJ and feeds perfectly. Highly recommended! Again customer service has been excellent!

    On this type Kahr mag it has a standard plastic floorplate. Luckily the plastic piece that locks the floorplate on the 9-7 into place is a thicker plastic then the one that comes with Pierce grip that I was on my 9-6

    A little difficult to install. No feed issues, however the slide would not stay open on last round, had to tweak the slide tab a bit on the top of the magazine follower to allow slide stay open on last round.

    Again the parts arrived on time and it was a pretty straight forward installation. BUT I received 1 incorrect kit and I’m waiting to hear back about the exchange process. Other than that pleased with the purchase.

    These work great and keep the last shot hold open feature. They do get rid of the intentional hard slide release for empty mags, but that feature isn’t really necessary. The extra round is easily worth the price and losing that “feature”.

    I purchased the magguts for my Kahr PM9 for the 6 round magazine and the 7-round magazine. I received the maggots in a timely manner. Installation was straightforward it removes your plastic follower with some piece of metal which would be fine if they worked. After installation I was able to fit 7 rounds in my 6 round magazine and 8 rounds in my 7-round magazine. It is however very difficult to fit the last round in but I’m guessing with time that would get better. The 6+1 cycle correctly. The 7+1 cycled but would not hold the slide back on an empty mag! Given that the 7+1 round mag malfunctioned right at installation I would not trust the 6+1! Adding an extra round is an excellent idea but if it compromises the correct function of your weapon and possibly endangering your life! I will be returning both! I would suggest Nobody buy these unless you want to just use them at the range.

    Wear gloves. The metal spring has sharp edges. Installation can be problematic if you don’t understand exactly where on the follower the spring is supposed to seat so watch the vids. Be sure to have good needle-nose pliers. Once assembled the performance is good, though getting that eighth round can be hard without a loader (I expect time will make that easier.) I’m impressed enough that I will probably get a second mag spring. Nice work.

    The instructions on the rear of the packaging were difficult to see. Once I interpreted them, I was able to install the spring and follower and it fed 50 rounds flawlessly.

    Hard to put together. Had to watch Youtube video, I cut one of the bottom links off to get it together (not the best idea) but the magazine seems to work the same as the other 2 mags i purchased. Time will tell. Great product , but have only shot about 30 plus rounds out of each mag.

    Works great, but Magguts needs to update their website. The 6 & 7 round 9mm Kahr Magguts work just fine for the corresponding .40 S&W Kahr models that take them from 5 to 6 rounds (flush 5 round mag) and 6 to 7 rounds (extended 6 round mag) of .40 S&W.

    No discounts are available and at the current price, not worth it for the average user. Costing this much per magazine is not worth it for just one extra round per mag unless you are someone who carries a gun professionally and is likely to need such an extra round advantage.
