Walther PPS M2 MagGuts™-High Capacity Magazine Conversion
Converts your 6 round Walther PPS M2 9mm magazine into a 7 round magazine without extension. The kit uses your existing magazine tube, lock plate, and base plate while replacing the follower and spring with MagGuts™ components.
This conversions features our novel, ZeeSpring™ technology. The ZeeSpring™ is an application specific spring design for magazines formed from thin, flat material. The result is a very simple, space efficient spring that collapses to a super compact height which allows space for that extra round while maintaining necessary force.

I’ve had a couple hundred rounds through this mag after the magguts install (slick as you please) and reliability has remained perfect. Loading is slightly more stiff, which is to be expected given the spring upgrade, but the steel follower is smooth and robust. 10/10 would buy again (I’m stalking the site for the LCP2 release).

After purchasing My M2, my only complaint was the flat bottomed mag capacity of 6rds. I discovered MagGuts and was thrilled to see they had a 7rd option for my gun. After installing the product it seems as though in my application it is nothing more than a nice idea. after two mags I removed the MagGuts and installed the factory components. Reasons for this are, due to size and shape of the follower, the slide lock would be engaged even though there was still a round left in the mag. An extra round is pointless if i cant cycle it. also due to the dimensions and geometry of the follower, it was able to rock back when empty allowing the front bottom edge to rise above as well as catch on the edge of the mag housing. I considered these two things to be a hindrance and take away from the reliability and functionality of the firearm so they were replaced with the factory parts.

Arrived quickly, well packaged. Surprisingly easy to install even for an arthritic septuagenarian. Loaded easily with help of an Uplula and worked faultlessly with repeated testing at the range with both FMJ and JHP cartridges at 115, 124 and 147 grain. Nice to have the extra round in most concealable magazine. What’s not to like?

Delivery time was reasonable. The removal of the original spring and bottom plate and the replacement with the new “flat” spring and new bottom plate was very simple and fast. The conversion allows one more cartridge in the magazine, as advertised. Competent product with high quality.

Put 200 rounds of mixed ammo thu the Walther PPSM2. Oddly I had trouble loading Tula ammos. At 5 rounds they seem to catch. Weird. Not a regular ammo and not one that I put on my short list to use except for range and emergency. I like to know if it functions in a mag and gun it functions in all my stock Walther mags. All of the brass seemed to load without any issues. Need to put another 800 rounds before I can give it 5 stars. Also, I am curious to see how long it will last. I have had other mags that failed after a few years. Time will telll if this is 100% reliable over time. I think this is a nice option to add another round. The Walther PPSM2 mags should file at lest one more round for their size compared to other brands.

Had 2 failure to feed out of 50 rounds running this mag spring. I guess we’ll see how it does once it is fully broken in.

Excellent value for what you are getting, in a single stack handgun you’ll want as many rounds as possible! Have had no issues feeding having put a few hundred rounds through it at the range! Not too difficult to install however it did give me a little trouble when orienting the spring under the new metal follower. However I adjusted it once it was in place and it functions flawlessly.

Such an intuitive solution. Everything went together easily; the instructions are very straightforward and I’ve loaded and unloaded the mag several times and all is well. Plenty off time at the range too. I’m more than confident in carrying this mag in my EDC. Given its function I’m sure plenty of thought went into the design and durability of the components as they’re not trying to reinvent the wheel here, just make certain aspects of it better that sometimes OEM manufacturers don’t think of or are constrained by budget or interchangeability. That’s why companies like this exist! Keep up the good work Magguts, with every new pistol purchase I see if you guys have anything available for it!

The lip came off a little bit and the spring was harder to contain (with the lip coming off) at the beginning. Once contained and seated, all is well. Waiting for the +1 to come out.

Great way to get an extra round into the flush fit mag. There is a problem though that I would consider significant. Occasionally the base plate slides slightly forward which does prevents the magazine to seat properly in the gun. This is not the end of the world as I plan to carry the gun with the flush fit magazine(baseplate will not move when the magazine is already in the gun)and have the 7 rounder in a mag holster. The 7 round kit has no such issue. It’s a great concept, just not quite perfect

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because it is hard to reassemble it with the new spring… I cut myself two times trying to put it together. But it was worth it. I love having a extra round.

Hard to assemble, base plate of magazine wants to slide out of position. Would take the full 7 rounds pretty easily. Haven’t shot with it yet to verify reliability.

Very good service getting it here. It was easy to install. There were some feeding issues with the last round in the magazine not feeding, but that was with the first two times I installed it. The magazine works good now. I would consider upgrading my other two magazines in the future.

I had issues with the follower popping out the front of the magazine when installed. I contacted customer service and NOBODY replied. Customer service sucks and this thing is junk and was a waste of money. DO NOT BUY!!!

This kit was the first one I installed. Maybe that’s why it was a challenge. HOWEVER, it works. It’s reliable and worth it. Having that extra round and not have to expand the mag is amazing. This kit is what I used to modify my EDC mag.

It’s a great product. It’s nice having an extra round in the magazine. It worked well in my outing at the range. The only thing it does occasionally is lock back on the last round. It didn’t happen often and it just required racking it in, but overall very happy and great service.

Haven’t used it at the range yet, but seems to function well thus far. Took a little finagling to get installed but it was a simple process. The 7th round is certainly stiffer to fit in the mag, but it indeed fits which is awesome. No more sacrificing round count for the more concealable flat baseplate! Very glad I purchased.

I have been using MagGuts in all my PPS magazines ever since they introduced them for my gun. I have put many thousands of rounds through them with absolutely no failures in any of the models (6, 7, or 8 round mags). Not only do I get an extra round but the mags are easier to load. Now that it’s installed, it is working ok so far. The installation was way too difficult, however. I think it could have been designed better. Why is there no hook on the floor plate for then end of the spring (like the factory does)? The spring cut me twice before I finally got it installed.

I tried literally for ours to install the spring in my magazine. If you ever thought that you could accomplish virtually ANYTHING, that spring will teach you a lesson in humility. Just when you think you finally have the spring securely in the magazine and you can put on the floorplate, part of the spring will pop out. I’m a stubborn old S.O.B. and I persevered until the escaping spring flung the bottom piece God-knows-where. If I ever find it, I’ll try again. I was going to get more MagGuts for the remainder of my Walther PPS magazines – but now I don’t believe I will.

Did not work at all. I don’t know if I received the wrong size of spring, but this kit would not assemble correctly at all. There was too much room inside of the mag body which allowed the spring to coil up on itself inside the mag body. The follower was also easily pushed out by spring. Having had some hands-on time with three of these kits I don’t have any confidence in their durability. I’m switching back to factory springs and not looking back.
