    I dropped my Gen 1 magguts magazine and the magazine popped apart, shooting the cup that held the top spring rested in shot off, flying somewhere to never be found. I contacted Magguts and they couldn’t help me get the parts I needed. I purchased the Gen 2 as a replacement and it works well and is easier to install than the old model. I must say I am more disappointed in Magguts that I am the product (at least this generation of product)

    I traded my 8 round Shield factory mag for a 7 so I could use the Maggot base plate. Why did I trade for the factory 7 rounder? With the Maggut’s* bottom plate the mag holds 8 rounds. It is long enough to get my little finger on. And the mag drops free when released.

    Bought these to make my 7rnd mags 8rnds. So far they have been super reliable with feeding and hold the slide open on the last shot. Stout build quality and wouldn’t hesitate to use it in an EDC.

    The +1 magguts for my Sheild has an ugly gap between the grip and magazine floor plate. Additionally , when the 9th round is loaded the spring tension is such that a round can not be stripped from the mag and chambered. I am contemplating purchasing the +2 to hopefully avoid this issue.

    I bought the mag extensions without the spring to add an extra round to both my 8 round shield mags.Install was straightforward and simple.I finally tested them yesterday 50 riunds through each mag with no feeding issues at all.These function well.

    After installing the Mag Guts the magazine would not drop down without being pulled out. Took my S&W out to make sure it fired properly and thank goodness no issues there. If I can’t fix this these 2 Mags will just be training mags.

    The follower pops through the top of the magazine at times. Upon firing the last shot of the magazine the slide doesn’t lock back on any of the magazines that has magguts components.

    The new mag spring and extension takes my 7-round flush mag and extends it to 9 rounds with only a little bumb past flush. Now with one in the chamber, my weapon carries 10 rounds with minimal expense or loss of concealability.

    Easy to install and extents grip more than flush mag and less than 8 rounder. It gives you 1 extra round and a nice 3 finger grip. You also have the option to remove the stock spring and follower and put in the Magguts spring and have a 9 round mag. Shot 50 rounds so far and perfect function. Sell that 8 round stock mag and buy 7 rounders and put in this extension.

    Very easy to install. Makes that 7 round magazine an 8 rounder with enough room for a solid 3 finger grip that is slightly shorter than the stock 8 round magazine. Also have the option to add the Magguts spring to get 9 rounds.

    My purchase completes converting all three of my seven round Magazines to 8 rounders. I have found your product to be very reliable. In addition to the extra round, the quarter inch the extension adds gives me a full grip which improves my shooting. Installation is simple, but not easy due to the strength of the spring. Still, I was able to install your extension in a matter of three or four minutes. I am very happy with your product.

    I’m mostly pretty happy with it. There is a gap in the coverage at the back, which the real McCoy does not have. That would be a nice thing for them to fix, with the design. However, it was easy enough to install, and makes the front part extend the grip, just like the longer mag, and increases the capacity one, as promised. Although that final round is tighter than in the long one that came with the pistol. If I had it to do again, I would probably just pay for another of the longer factory mags. I do not know whether I will get their springs for another extra round each, or not.

    I used this to convert my 7 round factory mag to 8 rounds. It adds just enough length so that I can get my pinkie on the grip, so much better with that mag. Took 15 seconds to install and functions flawlessly.

    I had trouble installing the +2 kit in my 7 round Shield mag and broke the base pad (my fault!), so being able to buy this saved me some money. I’m 68 and my hand strength isn’t what it used to be, so keeping the spring compressed while trying to put this on was very difficult. I finally put the mag in a vise to free up my left hand, this made it much easier and I was able to do it without any problems. Function has been 100%, and I feel much better having 10 rounds instead of 8. Very happy customer, thank you so much!

    Finally got it to accept 9 rounds. then at the range, it will only accept 6 rounds. I put this in my Shield 7 round magazine that I had already put a maggutz spring system that gave me 8. I bought this so I could get nine. Anyhoo, I’m frustrated at the moment. I’ll continue to futz with it and at the end if I can only get 8 reliable in there, I’m happy ’cause I at east have thak

    I like that almost all of the original mag parts remain intact, for those who prefer factory OEM magazines. Easy installation, looks good, and works well. It also improves on gripping the pistol with the small additional length added to the 7-round magazine. Very happy with this and would recommend to others.

    What a fantastic product. I was previously using a competitions brand extension which gave me a 9 round capacity. But made it slightly longer than your +2 system. I’m back to easily concealable mode using an OWB holster. Also has a nice finish to boot. I had to file away some material from my 8 round spacer to make it perfectly flat to the extension. But that’s just my liking.

    This one only gives you 9 rounds. Once I found out I bought the other one with the spring and everything. It’s more expensive but well worth it. Only takes a couple minutes to do.
