I can’t wait until the make these to fit everything I own! I check in often for new models. Highly recommended.

  2. Lawrence s. (verified owner)

I delayed writing this because I had a little trouble at first getting the Magguts conversion working in my LCP2. It would not feed the last round, so the gun would jam. I contacted Magguts about it. They answered promptly with helpful advice and a promise to do what it takes to solve the issue. I followed the advice, did a complete removal and re-install. That fixed it. Last week I got back to the range and ran about 50 rounds through my LCP2. The converted magazine worked flawlessly! I am satisfied. Now I am carrying the converted mag in my EDC for 7 + 1 or a total of 8 rounds.

  4. Guadalupe C. (verified owner)

Works great love it got 2 of them if I get more magazines I will change them out as well

  5. Chris R. (verified owner)

Very nice mod for the money.

  6. Robert i. (verified owner)

They went above and beyond to ensure my kit was preforming properly. Thanks Steve and team!

  7. David P. (verified owner)

I previously bought and continue to use the Magguts magazine conversion kit for my Ruger LCP. It works great and I would give that kit 5 stars. When the conversion kit for the LCPII became available, I bought it to use with my newly purchased LCPII. Unfortunately, this kit provides so much spring pressure within the magazine that putting the last round in is very difficult compared to the LCP kit and the magazines are essentially the same size. The result is that it is very hard to load a full magazine into the pistol. I cannot get it to secure properly in the pistol by using my off hand and must squeeze it into the pistol with my shooting hand between my thumb and my fingers. This is not a big problem for me as I do not carry an extra magazine when I carry concealed but this could be a problem for someone who expects to quickly load a second magazine using the heel of their off hand as I do with other semi-autos. I have disassembled the magazines and reassembled them carefully, according to the instructions, to rule out assembly error but the problem persists in both magazines I have modified. The rounds feed into the pistol smoothly and otherwise the magazines perform as expected.

  8. George C. (verified owner)

It is easy to install and it works seemlessly.

  9. MATHEW (verified owner)

First full box through a brand new mag (purchased from a Ruger) to specifically use with the Maggut kit. Out of whole box of ammo, only one mag completed without a failure to eject. Problems…

  10. David K. (verified owner)

Great concept and product. Loved having the extra rounds for CCW. Keep up the creativity!

  11. Robert R. (verified owner)

I have Magguts for the original LCP, Glock 42 and 43. All work flawlessly. This Magguts for the LCP II is far from flawless. You have to smack the bottom of a fully load magazine hard, really hard and more than once to get it to seat into the pistol. If you eject one round, leave round count at 6, and it loads effortlessly. Also, once the magazine is empty, the follower wants to kick the front edge up and it comes out of the magazine. Very disappointed with this particular Magguts and it removed it because I don’t trust it for when I will need it to perform.

  12. Terry R. (verified owner)

I now have Magguts in my S&W Shield, My Walther PPS M2, my Shield Body Guard 380, & my Ruger LCP 2. All have ran flawlessly. This is a fine product, and as soon as the Magguts for the Ruger LC9S pro are completed I will be purchasing those. And I have full confidence they too will run perfectly.

  13. Joseph A. (verified owner)

I am very satisfied with my conversion kit for my lcp ll. Now I am waiting for a kit for my lc9s. Please notify me when available. Thank you JOE A

  14. Kee D. (verified owner)

    Worked as described, very innovative.

  15. Kyle P. (verified owner)

This product works exactly as advertised and I may buy a 2nd unit for my other magazine.

  16. Diona B. (verified owner)

Purchased as a Christmas present for my husband. I’m sure he’ll be excited as he gave me a very clear hint by sending me the link to this product!

  17. Edwin S. (verified owner)

Have installed it in one of my LCP II mags and seems to feed just fine, but have not made it to the range, yet.

  18. Robert L. (verified owner)

Having an extra round adds a feeling of confidence is great. The Ruger LCP2 conversion works very nicely.

  19. John A. (verified owner)

Works great, easy install, 1 more round. What’s not to like?

  20. Riceinwa (verified owner)

LCP II owners have no extended magazine from Ruger or anyone else. MagGuts to the rescue!

  21. Teddy G. (verified owner)

Works good , feeds well , a little tight getting the mag in with one in the chamber and seven in the mag

  22. John F. (verified owner)

The item performed as advertised. I’ve tried other products that just extend the base, but Magguts changes the internal space. It is easy to insert the extra round. If you’re thinking about it, just get the guts to do it, Magguts!

  23. Brian M. (verified owner)

My lcp 2 magazine won’t lock when loaded into the gun with the +1 round in it. If I take out the 7th round, the magazine locks immediately. If I put the 7th round back in, no amount of force or wiggling will get it to click into place and lock.

  24. Patrick C. (verified owner)

I’m glad I took the time to review the video, but I’m satisfied I could have done it just by reading the very clear instructions and photos. Could not have been any clearer and took less than 5 min.

  25. Eric S. (verified owner)

What can I say, stock magazine and 1 extra round. Well worth it! No issues!

  26. Pam B. (verified owner)

My husband was thrilled with his new toy!

  27. Scott W. (verified owner)

    Works perfect. Easy to replace

  28. Brian M. (verified owner)

I originally posted a review expressing registration with my inability to get the magazine to lock into my LCP; however, the team at magguts quickly responded to my complaint with photos demonstrating proper installation which allowed me to correct my self-imposed installation error. Excellent team. Fast response to issues. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

  29. Cliff C. (verified owner)

    Works well…cycles correctly. Pretty expensive.

  30. Riceinwa (verified owner)

The LCP II spring in a spring (Hybrid) is one of those installations that really requires just one more active hand. But when I got the follower into the magazine tube and positioned as required, the spring operation felt as smooth as glass. I gotta say, I was impressed. The magazine easily accepted the 7 rounds. However, when I pushed the mag into the pistol mag well it didn’t want to compress enough to allow the magazine to be inserted. I finally slapped it into place as I would expect to do a reload. It stayed. and seems to be OK. My little pocket popper has gone from 6+1 to 7+1. Great build.

  31. Joseph V. (verified owner)

kinda works…not worth the money or the wait.

  32. William G. (verified owner)

Easy to install, took me less than 5 minutes, now my LCP2 now holds a total of 8 rounds. 7 +1

  33. Elmer K. (verified owner)

I have made several purchases and have always been well satisfied with products. I am waiting for the release for my Ruger LC9S Pro.

  34. David M. (verified owner)

I had MagGuts for my Ruger LCP, and they worked beautifully; in fact, they were more reliable than the factory magazine springs / followers. However, these don’t quite cut the mustard. I’ve had several failures to feed where the follower got pushed out the front of the feed lips slightly, and had to be manually re-inserted into the magazine.

  35. Peter G. (verified owner)

Install was a breeze, just be careful to install per directions…..the only issue is that with the extra round my magazine does not load as easily, it takes some force to get the magazine to lock in place….I need to run a few hundred rounds to ensure reliable feeding and function before it becomes my carry option.

  36. Ovid S. (verified owner)

It is a comfort to have the extra round.

  37. Bruce L. (verified owner)

It was that pleased with the performance in my gun of the product. It has already been returned.

  38. George R. (verified owner)

Installation was easy, but the product has not been used yet to determine any degree of satisfaction.

  39. John M. (verified owner)

Couldn’t seat the mag. Had to cut 2 loops off the spring.

  40. Michael W. (verified owner)

The follower gets easily cocked out of place in the magazine. I don’t trust it to be reliabile in all situations, so I use it as a range magazine.

  41. Charles S. (verified owner)

Installation was rather easily done. I cycled the slide manually five or six times to test the springs. The second time the front of the follower popped out of the magazine tube on the last round. But after that everything seem to function okay. I haven’t had time to test at the range but will do ASAP. Only complaint I have so far it is rather expensive. I will not be purchasing anymore springs for my other hand guns.

  42. Jarrett S. (verified owner)

Couple hundred rounds with no failures. Works great. Love it. Buy it. With the 7th round in it makes for a tight fit in the gun so i only use it for the mag i keep in the gun, never a spare mag.

  43. Martin C. (verified owner)

I have installed and used a SW Shield and a SW Bodyguard magguts with great success. In both of these previous cases I felt like I got a quality product. The LCPII magguts is a different story. The follower popped over the top of the magazine after the last round was fired in separate cases. In both cases, all I had to do was work with the follower into the magazine channel. From what I can tell, it appears that the lip follower is made to shallow. I hope others have more luck than I do and I am sure that the guys at magguts will get this solved because they build awesome products,

  44. Richard C. (verified owner)

    Great product.

  45. Bradley H. (verified owner)

I think this is generally a pretty decent product, but I have to knock it down a couple stars for two reasons. The primary of which is that it isn’t consistently reliable. I tried this kit in both a USA and Italian made magazine body from Ruger (both factory mags). The USA mag bodies seem to be a little thicker with a seam weld down the back. With the USA made mag, I also had a hard time getting the floor plate to seat (issue two) due to the seam weld. It was not a good fit. When I tested it out, it would hold the 7 rounds no problem, but would cause a malfunction on the last round every time no matter the ammo I used. I swapped the kit into the italian made mag body and had better results. I did not have the same fitment issues and the floor plate went on as it should. Still had an occasional last round feed issue. It seemed to get better the more I used it, but I ran out of ammo before I could feel confident. I am not using this kit at the moment because I don’t trust it and I generally feel like I should not have purchased it.

  46. Silvana M. (verified owner)

Excellent product just as advertised. Super fast shipping. Thank you for the great service. God bless.

  47. Jose L. (verified owner)

    Works good no problem

  48. Vincent P. (verified owner)

At first assembly it wasn’t feeding properly and the spring was getting jammed. I was about to return it than turned to YouTube. A private user (not magguts) had a more detailed description and I was putting one of the plates in wrong. There was such a slight difference I’m surprised I caught it. This was not well described in the print instructions that came with the kit or the video magguts themselves had on YouTube. Ever since it has worked flawlessly and has a few hundred rounds through it without a hiccup. I’m glad having purchased other items from that I knew their products had too much quality for this to happen. Basically if it’s not working perfectly try reassembling and go to YouTube for some visual instruction as well. Don’t give up until it works right! I would now trust this in my edc.

  49. Kirk G. (verified owner)

Very quick & easy assembly, works great

  50. Jackson N. (verified owner)

Had high hopes for this kit. Ruger lcp2, followed instructions exactly how they described and the follower, the piece that pushes the bullets up will come out of the magazine itself..? Doesnt make much sense to run through 7 rounds and have a spring and follower hanging out the top of the mag when you eject it.

  51. Mike (verified owner)

Easy to install and works perfectly. I suggest that after you assemble the magguts you load and unload the mag about 5 or 6 Times. That will get everything lined up. I ran 4 full mags thru my lcp2 and had no malfunction what so ever. You need every round you can get in a mouse gun.

  52. Tim P. (verified owner)

Absolutely unusable product, base plate moved back and forth, rounds consistently jam, only use if you want an unreliable weapon.

  53. Ron M. (verified owner)

If you need the comfort of an extra bullet these work.

  54. Tony (verified owner)

I bought 3 of these for my LCP 2. Installation is simple and quick, and the result is a +1 magazine that functions perfectly.

  55. Cort T. (verified owner)

    Works grate,

  56. Albert G. (verified owner)

My gun jammed using your springs. No installation issues. Expensive and useless product, also took one week to receive (FL to GA). Bad item and poor service. Sorry I tried it.

  57. Stephen A. (verified owner)

Turns six round mag into a seven.Whats not to like?Mag maintains last round hold open feature and no malfunctions of any kind. This is for lcp2.Can’t speak for function in regular LCP.Own two will purchase another.

  58. Thomas M. (verified owner)

I love this product! It was very simple to replace the spring and other various parts. It adds an extra round without extending the mag:thumbsup: Can’t get much better than that.

  59. Joseph J. (verified owner)

I waited so long for these to be available for my Ruger LCP(II) and they surely fit the extra round, I have yet to try them but I am iffy on the top plate that holds the round, they look light weight, and I hope they don’t scratch the shell. Otherwise; brilliant!

  60. Albert H. (verified owner)

Gives my little gun what it really needs Capicity

  61. Michael M. (verified owner)

item does not function properly , no refund was ever offered, i would never recommend this to anyone , i bad mouth this product all over youtube, all i ever got was a bunch of emails saying that i must be installing it wrong. I tried installing it on 3 different factory magazines. I am an aircraft mechanic , not an idiot.

  62. Jim N. (verified owner)

I recently purchased MagGuts for my LCPII magazine. I haven’t yet decided to carry an extra mag everywhere daily so I wanted to at least increase the mag I currently use. Installation was simple. I followed the online instructions and had no issues. I have put 100 rounds through it so far and haven’t had any failures and the slide has locked back every time. I also have tried a few different brands of ammo and nothing has caused any hiccups. Originally before taking it out and shooting, the mag required a pretty good amount of pressure to get it to seat and click into place, but it’s much easier now after I’ve fired some rounds. It is like $25 for an extra round, but for me as a person who kinda wants to minimally carry(which is why I bought this pocket gun), it fits into what I want. Great product.

  63. Mike R. (verified owner)

Works great- keep up good work…….

  64. John R. (verified owner)

  65. Russell D. (verified owner)

This is the fourth firearm that I have used Magguts in to get an additional round or two out of. They have always worked great without any malfunctions. I recommend this product.

  66. Gary W. (verified owner)

I bought four of these kits. The installation was really simple, I think it took less than a minute for each magazine. But more importantly, they’ve been reliable. Rock solid. I’ve shot about 200 rounds using these retrofitted magazines so far, and not one failure to feed. I would say that the only difference you’ll notice is that when you are seating the fully stuffed 7-round magazine in your LCP II, you’ll have to apply a bit more pressure just to get it locked than before. But, that’s really of no consequence, that extra round being available is so worth it!

  67. Sol Y. (verified owner)

Works great, easy to install on my Ruger L C 2 mag.

  68. Kevin C. (verified owner)

Having 9+1 in my Shield is a comforting thought. Doesn’t seem like much of a change, but it makes a difference. I only have 50 rounds through mine, but they are 50 error-free rounds. Nice product.

  69. Salvatore C. (verified owner)

I purchased this product thinking I would be able to carry 7+1 but not the case. The mag will only fit with the slide locked back. If that was the case I would of kept the original design and just chambered the extra round.

  70. Stephen F. (verified owner)

Easy install……… have not tried it yet

  71. Duc Q. (verified owner)

Good product , worth the money

  72. Jester2275 (verified owner)

Promptly shipped. Good communication from company. Only took a few minutes to change the “Mag Guts” of my Ruger LCP 2. Nice to have that extra round without adding any bulk to the pistol! Haven’t test fired yet; but seems to work just fine.

  73. Al S. (verified owner)

  74. Tim P. (verified owner)

Quick shipping, easy install, rounds loaded easily ,only reason 4 stars haven’t used at range yet.

  75. Brandon F. (verified owner)

I purchased two of the magguts upgrades after a friend told me about it and was super excited. First time at the range the follower kept coming outside the magazine and I kept getting failure to feeds between the 6th and 7th round. After a few magazines of issues. One of the followers came out of the magazine inside of my pistol and it took a considerable amount of effort to remove the magazine and the magguts follower was broken when I removed the magazine. I removed both of the magguts upgrades and put the stock ruger followers and springs back in the magazines.

  76. Christopher D. (verified owner)

Fits perfectly I was able to install with ease and loads every round problem free

  77. Gary G. (verified owner)

Firm hold on mag in my pocket yet very easy to extract. Love it.

  78. Michael T. (verified owner)

I was a bit weary modifying my factory magazines, and I’ve been putting off trying MagGuts for years. Finally got around for ordering some for my LCP2 and Glock 43 so I could try them out. Installed them in both mags, went to the range and they function flawlessly. Ended up installing them in all of my LCP2 and G43 mags (6 total) and I am very, very happy with it. It’s never a bad idea to have an extra round, especially if you can do it without extending your magazine! Hell, in my experience the MagGuts followers and springs are more reliable and easier to load than the ones in factory magazines.

  79. Robert L. (verified owner)

The install took 10 minutes at the most. After 500 rounds everything has worked flawlessly. No FTF’s or FTE’s.

  80. Dan T. (verified owner)

Haven’t tested it with one in the chamber but for a spare mag it’s perfect!

  81. James G. (verified owner)

They work only with Italian made mags

  82. Brad O. (verified owner)

Easily used the MagGuts kit to convert the original 6 round magazine in my LCP2 to a 7 round magazine. Very easy to install the MagGuts upgrade kit. Tested it and had no feeding problems at all in working through a 50 round box of ammo.

  83. Js (verified owner)

Overall quality seems good, but there are a couple of bad design decisions that will keep me from using this. 1. The follower is not as ‘tall’ as the factory follower. The front of the follower comes above the lip of the mag after the last round. It IS possible for the follower to come completely out through the top of the mag. Mine just came flying out by barely lifting on the front of the follower. 2. The baseplate detent is too short, very poor retention of the baseplate. My baseplate is pretty freely sliding off due to the fact that the detent is half the height of the original. The quality of components is good, but the design is terrible. I’m surprised to see 5 stars for the LCP2 – perhaps they’ve recently redesigned the mags?

  84. Joseph C. (verified owner)

    worked as advertised

  85. R R. (verified owner)

upper end, above the springs would not stay in the body of the clip after the last round was loaded into the chanber. Sometimes the last round would jam, usually the slide would not close and removing the magazine required forcing the upper follower out of the gun. Useless.

  86. Mark

The magazine capacity is increased sucusfully from 6 rounds to 7 rounds and is an easy install. However I finally tested the magazine at the range and the last round on 7 consecutive magazines had a failure to feed. I haven’t experienced this issue with the LCP2 on any of the stock mags. I bought the item more than 30 days ago so I’m likely sol for the return policy.

  87. John B. (verified owner)

    LOVE IT!!!

  88. Richard K. (verified owner)

Works just like the factory mag! Great product and plan on purchasing more

  89. Mark H. (verified owner)

It worked at first but after 50 rds slide would not lock back and 3 round of the full clip 7 for lcp2 became jammed consistently.

  90. Bruce Y. (verified owner)

    Works great. Easy to install.

  91. Sasha S. (verified owner)

Put it on my LCP2 magazine. Works great.

  92. Jonas D. (verified owner)

Fits and functions as intended. Works well

  93. John P. (verified owner)

After initial problems with slide lockback, tech support diagnosed a defective follower. Sent me a new one. Problem solved. Excellent product and excellent support.

  94. George C. (verified owner)

The install was easy and the MagGuts 7 rounder can easily be identified by the brass pin seen through the base plate. The only downside is the difficulty of getting the 7th round in. I have to load my wifes MagGuts magazine. It does feed. I used them several time and they worked just fine.

  95. Jeff T. (verified owner)

Great Product! Works well and functions FMJs and HPs perfectly in my Ruger LCP2. If you experience malfunctions, be sure to read each step in the instruction manual to the T.

  96. Derek t. (verified owner)

Great products and I especially like the metal followers. I have used these inserts for several years now on a variety of guns with absolutely ZERO issues. I currently own a P365 and don’t really need one for it. However, my LCP II that I carry while at work was just upgraded so now I have 7 + 1, or 8rds of .380 in a very small platform for business carry and the trigger on the LCP II is wonderful. I use a Galloway Precision holster with their Utiliclip clam and it doesn’t move. MagGuts probably won’t like me telling you this but, you can take a G43, MagGuts +1, Taran Tactical +1 and have 8 + 1 or 9rds in your carry G43. I have done it and it never failed even with a dirty as hell G43 (500rds of range ammo between cleanings). So these products work and and work great…enjoy.

  97. Christian S. (verified owner)

Works great and super easy to install!

  98. Jay J. (verified owner)

Used for a Ruger LCP2. I took it to the range and fired 300 rounds. Does its job well.

  99. Dwight B. (verified owner)

Worked great, would like to see you come up with a Magguts unit for the Sig Sauer 938.

  100. Gary f. (verified owner)

So far is feeding fine with the the springs installed, impressed.

  101. Robert K. (verified owner)

I purchased the LPC 2 and S&W shield versions of this product. Easy installation (once you look at it on video, lol) Well worth the money.

  102. Jd H. (verified owner)

No jams or hiccups after 200 rounds from 4 manufacturers. At this point Precision One HP is my Carry Ammo. I learned from Vietnam never fully load a magazine for reliability reasons. MagGuts allows me to carry 6 rds. because your system gives my “carry magazine” a true 7 rd. capacity. This gives me my buffer never to carry a fully loaded mag. When in the CCW mode. JDH.

  103. Charles C. (verified owner)

Works great and kinda amazing. Easy to install. I ran 50 rounds through 2 new 7 round mags, no problems. Was not able to install a pinky grip extension, but the factor base plate works fine.

  104. Sean (verified owner)

I first installed these on a Made in USA magazine for my LCP II, I pulled the slide back, it locked back, but when I dropped the slide with the slide release, it caught on top of the magazine follower and stopped the slide. I installed it on my Made in Italy magazine, and did not have that problem. For some reason the follower sits to high in the USA mag when the mag is unloaded. No prob for me, thank God, I have 2 Italian mags , and 1 USA mag. If I only had 1 USA mag I would of been a VERY DISAPPOINTED customer. I’ve previously used MagGuts on a Kahr 380 and they work like a charm.

  105. Greg H. (verified owner)

Not impressed with follower. Took them back out and went with the ruger stuff.

  106. Doug J. (verified owner)

When the magazine is empty, the little follower tabs protrude so high that they interfere with the slide’s action. Jammed up my LCP 2 and bent the metal tabs. Very dissapointing.

  107. James K. (verified owner)

I had a bit of trouble with the bottom of the follower popping out of the top of the magazine but but a little judicious bending solve the problem.

  108. Don S. (verified owner)

Finally got a chance to run 50+ rounds thru at one time. On the 3’rd string of rounds the slide locked back..??? Did not happen again. Still having an issue with the magazine not locking into place when “full” unless I really-really squeeze up on it…..

  109. Domingo L. (verified owner)

The design works, but the quality is not good, and broke the brone rivet when I was installing it, so I could not use it

  110. James C. (verified owner)

Loaded the magguts in to my stock LCP 2 mag, making sure all orientation was correct. I went to the range the next day and shot 50 flawless rounds using it. The slide locked back every time. It takes a little pop to seat it in the mag well, but what a great up grade. I think I’ll get two more for backups.

  111. Dan B. (verified owner)

I have carried a Ruger LCP-2 for a couple of years now whenever I want to be armed but my clothing does not allow me to carry a 9mm. It is a nice little pistol but you can only get a 6-round mag for it. Since I have already purchased several MagGuts kits for other pistols I own, I went online to find that indeed they do have a kit for the LCP-2. The ordering process was easy and shipping only took a few days. Installation was not too difficult once I went to YouTube and found a video showing me how to do it properly. Unfortunately, the little tiny instruction sheet that comes with the kit is not at all helpful. After watching the video it only took me a few minutes to install the kit. I am neither a gunsmith nor a design engineer, but I can still say it would be really, really helpful if the kit came with a reference to the Youtube video that I found on my own to help the customer assemble the springs and keeper in the correct order. Also — why not put out a kit for the original LCP magazine as well?

  112. Jerald (verified owner)

Once installed properly and lightly lubed, using the hybrid spring by Magguts is wonderful, I love the added round I’m able to load into my magazine.

  113. Stephen S. (verified owner)

works great. Fit perfectly. adds 1 extra round

  114. Edward Hacker (verified owner)

They work as advertised. Easily adds an extra round

  115. Anonymous (verified owner)

Good design, parts and packaging but the extra round makes it difficult to properly lock in the magazine. You have to push hard at just the right angle or it will pop back out. I will only use this as the primary and leave it engaged, never as the back-up because I have low confidence in getting this to work under pressure.

  116. Michael (verified owner)

  117. Peter S. (verified owner)

  118. Mike Mason (verified owner)

So far no problems. I was able to put the mag guts in easily. Took it to the range and didn’t jam. I will order more for my other magazines.

I ordered one set for lcp2. I received a set for glock 43. after contacting company I was sent 2 sets of lcp instead of lcp2. I sent all 3 sets back and am awaiting lcp2 which I don’t think I want.

Works awesome I was a little skeptical at first but that extra round fits great and the slide locks back without any problems definitely buying a few more for the rest of my extra magazines.

It’s been over three weeks and I did not receive my order. I confirmed with the post office that it was lost in transit. I cannot get mag guts to respond to my emails to help. What a waste of money. Very displeased.
